Suresnes, April 23, 2024: Ingenico, the world leader in payment acceptance solutions, has obtained C-TAP (Common Terminal Acquirer Protocol) certification in Benelux for the first payment devices in its state-of-the art AXIUM series. The AXIUM DX8000 and AXIUM EX8000 are the first payment devices to gain such certification, with more to follow for the region in future.
The AXIUM DX8000 and AXIUM EX8000 run on Ingenico’s Android-based AXIUM platform. To date, the company has deployed over 2.5 million of these devices worldwide (excluding China, where an additional 6 million devices have been shipped alone) and is expecting strong growth in coming years.
As with all devices in Ingenico’s AXIUM range, the AXIUM DX8000 and AXIUM EX8000 run on Android: a smart payment solution enabling access to many advanced applications.
Employing the latest, innovative technology, these devices have enhanced performance and processing power, up to a 6-inch touchscreen, and front and rear cameras. Powered by Android 10, AXIUM devices also have access to the App Store, where many innovation applications can enable merchants to drive revenue and improve the customer experience.
Thanks to the C-TAP certification, the AXIUM DX8000 and AXIUM EX8000 are now officially available in Benelux, bringing many benefits to merchants, including fresh business opportunities on top of secure and reliable payments. These are the first in the AXIUM range to gain C-TAP certification, with further devices to be added in future to meet all use cases in the Benelux market.
AXIUM is also the successor solution to current Yoximo and Yomani terminals and comes with exactly the same existing ECR (cash register) integrations to easily replace terminals that have become end-of-life in the field. Like other Ingenico terminals, AXIUM is accepted on the network of all regional acquirers and connects easily to almost all retail environments. The range also connects seamlessly with Ingenico’s rich suite of estate management tools, including the ability to access the terminal remotely for online maintenance.
